As Veterinary Nurses, we need to be able to open a discussion with clients to ensure that they are feeding raw food safely.
Many pet owners will not share that they raw feed to Vets or Nurses, for fear of being told it’s harmful and pet owners can feel very passionately about their choice of feeding.
It’s important to ensure that clients feel supported in this decision.
The industry has grown very quickly in recent years, leaving much needed education and legislation behind.
On this course, we will present you with the facts and arm you with the information you require, to hold a positive discussion with pet owners in practice.
The aim of this course is not to teach you to suck eggs, but to remind us what lines we should be thinking along, encourage you to put your thoughts into the mix, and share opinions and experiences.
It will also help us all to be less habitual and more ‘thinking’ as anaesthetists.
Our choice of anaesthetic technique is determined by a huge range of factors, all working together to provide a unique set of circumstances for each patient – the main reason there is no right or wrong.
This activity equates to 7 hours of accredited CPD towards your RCVS requirements.
