The following ‘CPD Activity Accreditation Application’ needs to be completed by the CPD provider in order for The CPD Group to be in a position to review all the materials for the CPD Activity Submitted and subsequently fully Accredit the submitted CPD Activity.
Please ensure that you complete all questions in each section, and where appropriate provide additional information or the requested documents.
If for any reason you cannot complete the section or you feel it is not relevant to your CPD Activity, please state in the box provided either: ‘Further help needed’ or ‘Not relevant’ and a member of the Quality Assurance Team will contact you to discuss these with you in further detail.
Once your CPD Activity Accreditation Application has been submitted the Quality Assurance Team will make contact within 48hrs to acknowledge your application has been received and at the first stage of the reviewal process.
The CPD Activity Assessment Process:
The review process normally takes an average of 3 weeks to complete, and the process is formally activated when we receive a fully completed application and the associated documents.
To qualify for accreditation we are looking for quality within the answers. We accredit applications that demonstrate good learning processes, educational practice, those that comply with all types of CPD schemes and requirements.
Content is King. Our reviewers will review the CPD Activity materials submitted and reference the subject matter against best practice guidelines and may consult with third party organisations and individuals to ensure that the content referenced is current, factually correct and adhering to the latest legislative guidelines for the CPD Activity.
Once the Activity has been reviewed and accepted, the CPD Provider will be provided with a unique CPD Activity Logo and Unique Activity ID Number.
The Approved CPD Activity will then be listed on the CPD Activity register and will expire after 3 years
The CPD Provider will be notified 6 months prior to the expiry date at which point the CPD Activity will need to re-submitted again in order to be reviewed again, at which point a New CPD Activity ID will be issued to the CPD Provider for this Activity.
Some CPD Activities will require a visit by the CPD Group Quality Assurance Team (i.e. Classroom CPD Activity) as part of the process. This will be an unannounced visit and the CPD Provider will be contacted to request a minimum of 3 x dates of when the CPD Activity is taking place, within the initial 12 months of Accreditation, so as our Quality Assurance Team can attend one of the CPD Activity Sessions and ensure that the CPD Activity is being delivered in accordance with the Submitted Application and general CPD Standards.
